Do I have to pay taxes when leaving in Turkey?

NO, if you don’t own a property in Turkey. YES, if you own one. If you are an owner of a property, no matter the type or the location, you will be asked to pay a communal tax (Commonly called Environment Preservation Tax – Çevre Temizlik Vergisi). Depending on the location and status of your property fees will vary in between 200 TRY/Year and 2500 TRY/Year. This fee can be paid via bank transfer to the registered bank accounts of the Tax Office, or directly in cash to the nearest Tax Office.
